Wei Fang
Art / Design Curation
Wei Fang contributes over a decade of community-building through contemporary art. She curated artist-in-residence and community out-reach programs at the Harvard Art Museums, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and the Contemporary Museum, Honolulu. She also brings high-level fiscal and management skills gained from business development and management positions at ArtForum International Magazine, Phillips de Pury & Company, and the Donald Judd Foundation. In Hawaii, she helped found Cinema Paradise Film Festival and the non-profit professionals network Envision Hawaii, and actively works with MA‘O Organic Farm on fundraising and strategic planning. Her BA is from Brown University and MBA from Columbia University.

Sarah Honda
Marketing and Outreach
Sarah Honda began working with HIFF in 2005 as HIFF’s Education Coordinator overseeing the Guest Filmmaker Program, Education Video Conferencing, and Student Seminar. In 2009, she became HIFF’s Development Director. As Development Director, she is responsible to identify and solicit donors and corporations to meet fundraising goals. She was previously the Editor/Co-Founder of SMART Magazine, and a music artist manager at Empire Management in New York, NY. Honda holds two BA degrees in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Washington.

Anderson Le
Film Curation
Anderson Le is the program director for the Hawaii International Film Festival. For the past 10 years, Le has worked diligently in the global promotion of Asian cinema. He has consulted and/or served on juries for the Rotterdam Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, San Francisco Asian Film Festival, Cinemasia Film Festival in Amsterdam, and most recently, the Singapore International Film Festival, among others. In 2008, Le was a panelist for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. He serves on the board of directors of Chang Phuong Films, a full-service production company producing films, TV and mobile entertainment based in Saigon, Vietnam. Le studied Asian Studies and American History at Arizona State University and received his BA in Communications at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

Sean Shodahl
Development
In the independent film industry for ten years, Sean Shodahl programmed the annual Filmmaker Conference 2006 at the IFP in New York and co-managed the premier year of Tribeca All Access, an annual program that develops and funds narrative and documentary projects by artists of color. He managed The San Francisco Asian American Film Festival for 3 years, and has directed marketing and events for The Hawaii International Film Festival. At Marakesh Films, Sean worked as an associate producer on award-winning films THE COLOR OF LOVE and THE DAY I DIED by Maryam Keshavarz who has her first feature film CIRCUMSTANCE in development.

Ben Trevino
Operations
Ben Trevino has spent the last 6 plus years enabling organizations through technology and enriching communities by delivering high quality film-going experiences. With a BS in computer science from Stanford University, Ben led technical initiatives for an anti-click-fraud team at Google. After moving to Hawaii in 2006, he joined the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) and strengthened their technical infrastructure by initiating and co-developing an intranet/database system. He later took on the role of Director of Operations for HIFF while also managing theater operations for HIFF’s 2007 and 2008 festivals. Currently, Ben develops database and web solutions for the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization (UHERO).

Henry Mochida
Media Planner
Henry Mochida has dedicated the past 5 years to developing & practicing filmmaking for social research and planning. He holds a BA in Economics and a Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM). He is a featured filmmaking instructor with the UHM Pacific New Media outreach program and Associate Program Director for Digital Media and Filmmaking, Globalization Research Center, UHM and Lecturer/PhD student in the Urban & Regional Planning Department, UHM. He is an award winning filmmaker with experience on over 100 productions with works premiering in film festivals around the world. Mochida seeks to foster critical thinking and deliberative democracy through filmmaking.

Michelle Ann Carino
Graphic Design Intern
Michelle Ann Carino is completing her final semester at the University of Hawai‘i of Mānoa with a BFA in Graphic Design. She has taken extensive coursework in architecture and has work experience doing web design for the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work as well as Hamilton Library at the University of Hawai‘i.

Angelica Rabang
Web Development Intern
Having completed the BFA Graphic Design program at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, Angelica also serves as Sustainability Chair on the AIGA Honolulu Chapter Board and is continuously seeking outlets to contribute to the progress of design and environmental sustainability in Hawai‘i.
