In March, we continue our documentary film series “Manufacturing Reality” – housed in a micro-cinema setting at the R&D bookstore and feature a R&D-related twist: Admission to each film will include a chance to win a book from the R&D bookshop.
Our film this month is THE CITY DARK, a New York Times Critic’s Pick. The City Dark explores the phenomenon of an illuminated night, as well as the ecological and spiritual consequences of this. A New York Times Critic’s Pick, Ian Cheney’s The City Dark “explores what our increasing inability to see the night sky means for us philosophically.” An entertaining and poignant look at an aspect of our natural world that we too often take for granted. With this film, we are raffling a copy of the Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Ecological Urbanism.
